    Shopping on e-bay for straight razors.........................................1,4 20.00
    Equipment needed to keep a razors edge................................... 470.00
    Tools needed to build a rich lather............................................ ... 442.00
    Aftershaves,balms and cologne to finish off a BBS shave............. 168.00
    total = 2500.00
    + shipping 200.00

    total= 2700.00

    Being able to gather a boatload of knowledge about
    straight razor shaving and talking to all you great
    folks on the SRP............................................... ...............P R I C E L E S S !!!

    Funny how a lot of us started this sport because we thought it would save us money! Congratulations on your 1 year, may there be many more but with less painful expense!

    This is so so true lol, but ya know what I don't mind, I hated spending so much on blades because I hated shaving, was always such a chore, now I love it and it has become my hobby so strangely I don't mind spending the money on it

    congrats nessmuck may you have many many more years of loving the shave. Who knows, maybe one day we new folk will become the ones passing on the knowledge on these here great forums

    This is exactly what happened when, as a competitive shooter, I got into reloading. Oh yeah, I'll save money because power, lead, and primers are so cheap and I can re-use the brass…after spending $2500 on equipment…
