Yesterday I received a Midnight Quatro (?) razor. It has 4 blades. Now mind you I haven't shaved with a cartridge razor in about 5 years. I used a Sensor 2 bladed razor before switching to an electric. I got the razor for free in the mail and I thought since I'll be in a hurry in the morning I'll just use it, it'll be quick and easy and I'll get to test it out. OMG! I was only able to make 2 strokes before I gave up. The pulling was intolerable! How the hell do guys shave with those things? I went to my DE and it was pulling a little too, what the heck has happened? All those days of whining about getting a straight smoother and smoother and here I was forgetting to compare it to what everybody else uses! I had to finish using my straight. I was even late for my carpool. I have a new respect for you newbies. How the heck have you been doing it? I thought my straights were pulling a little, and now I have a completely different view. I'm pretty certain razors were much smoother just 5 years ago. What was all that 4 bladed hype about?
