Thread: shave quality

Seems like a common theme that the Straight shave lasts longer...curious if anyone knows or can venture a guess why? Seems like that both DE and straights should not be able to shave as close as a Mach 3 that pushes the skin down and will cut below skin level?

Probably because (I'm guessing here) the straight just lops off the hair while a DE has more of an effect on the skin itself. For me its the same with a good (har har) electric. I'm BBS afterwards but a couple hours later the stubble is back.
