Now I See What All the Fuss Is About
Finally got around to shaving with my new Friodur 7/8 from ShavingShop.com. I gotta tell ya...that is an outstanding razor. Maybe the closest, smoothest shave yet. Wasn't too impressed with the CS lavender soap I used (thin lather that didn't last too long), but the razor was great. Nice balance, lots of heft, and a smooth, effortless shave. Almost too sharp. I'll definitely be adding another to my collection as soon as I can.

Thanked: 324I give up. I have tried my best to avoid this topic but it's hopeless. You guys aren't going to stop talking about the Fridur's so the price is going to continue to go up for the doggoned things and there's nothing I can do about it. Speak too well of any razor and you make it hard to find a good deal on them. I've got a few, though, so I guess I can't complain. It was pretty cool that for a long time, the Fridours were going unappreciated and I got to pick up a few for some real nice prices. But I knew it was a matter of time before some folks started recognizing just how good a shaver these razors are. And they're nearly maintenance free, to boot. If I could only have one razor, I'd seriously consider making it a Friodur 7/8 or 8/8.

I dont even have the first one I ordered yet, but I am pretty sure I'll want at least one more. Even if they werent the best shavers, they are just so beautiful. Its razors like those that make me want a display box....ugh Im gonna go poor lol.

Thanked: 1my problem is, i ordered mine already but it hasn't gotten here yet (8/8 square with red scales) and all this friodur porn lately has got me thinking about all those other ones at john's site. before i get to play with friodur number one, i'm already wondering will friodur number two be a 7/8 or 8/8? round or square point? good thing i'm not crazy about all those fancy scales or i'd really be in trouble!
just remember, though, even if friodur prices go up, they'll never reach the level of those maestros that lynn sells!

Thanked: 4You bastidges!! I really don't need another great str8. That damned mosaic opal Friodur 8/8 sure looks mighty fine tho. And if I had one, I could give my lovely gunshow Puma an occasional break...yeah, that's the ticket.

I constantly look at razors to buy. This has to STOP. I have to control this addiction.
