I thoroughly enjoyed your eloquent post also. You and I started this journey about the same time and I was able to relate very well to many of your points (no pun intended). I always felt I was a bit OCD because I've never truly been happy unless I'm riding the crest of an obsession. This community with individuals like yourself and all the others you mentioned make the process of learning fun and efficient. Life is good.

I concur! Since I've switched from cartridge shavers back to single edge GEM or Ever Ready, and some nice collectable Gillette DE's, and now to straight razor shaving I enjoy my shaving ritual so much I really wish my beard would grow enough for a twice daily regimen.
To the contrary, now my shaves are so close I sometimes debate whether to shave the following day!
Great post!

Nice post LawsonStone - I can totally relate. I salute you and all the others that have made the journey. Thanks for sharing your story and many thanks for all the great information provided on SRP. I've been at it about 3 months now, but learned much from others who shared on SRP. What a great journey and what awesome companions. I raise my glass to you all.

Great post! I, too, wouldn't mind getting a copy of that email on honing forwarded to me. I have yet to get my hones, but I'm trying to soak up as much info as I can before the time comes when I start (making mistakes) honing.
