Thread: Half Hollow Grind Fixed Blade?

Just saw this razor in the SOTD thread and I assume it's a Japanese style razor.

Does anybody make a fixed blade razor with a western blade grind? Might be cool to have a straight blade or maybe a swept blade? Do these exist?

I didn't check the SOTD post from BassGuy, but I believe that is a custom Williams blade.

It is indeed a razor made by custom razor maker Robert Williams.

It is not a Japanese razor, but it is actually a western razor made to not have scales. It sure is a beauty!

Why yes it is!! I try not to look at it too much, because I am afraid it will end in a much lower number in the bank account.

I am in big trouble. That is a beautiful razor.

I've been quietly avoiding the Purist, simply because I cant afford one. What a stunner of a blade.

I think Livi made some razors with Japanese style but western symmetry. SRD carries them.
