I hate that when that happpens!

I find myself concentrating so much that my legs go numb. I have to stop between sections of my face to move my feet/legs a bit and get the blood going. I must be locking my knees or something and don't even know it. I can't wait until this is second nature and I don't have to FOCUS sooooo much on that blade!

I have done it- several times. It's only by the grace of God that I haven't actually nicked myself doing it. That's not to say that I don't ever nick myself!

Actually I have a follow up that just happened this week- I was about to shave halfway down my cheek and I had my face contorted in a smile fashion as I laid the razor down for a stroke. Just then, I realized I wanted my skin stretched the other way, so I contorted my lips over to toward the other side to stretch the skin the other way. only problem is, I forgot to lift the stinkin razor off my face- slice! My wife told me I look like like a German Baron! Luckily, it didn't cut deep enough to leave a scar.

Ouch!!! That must have been a real wakeup call.

Hope that you didn't draw too much blood.

I haven't done any of those. However...

Most of my straights are 5/8 or a little less, and I swear blind that I'd have got away with that stylish flourish as I flipped the razor around ready to perfect some area or another that I wasn't quite happy with. Except that it was a 6/8 spike and gave me a little reminder to remember what you're shaving with. Duly noted.

I actually got a lot of feedback on that one. It felt a lot worse than what resulted, which was slammed shut by a little wipe of styptic.

Can't say I have ever hit the scales into the mirror but I have hit myself with the scales a few times. It was interesting to say the least.

I'm with you, the other night I was practicing that 'scoop' motion on the upper lip and ran the straight point right into my cheek. Oops! Thankfully no scar like some of my other mishaps, but it's all good.
