    Default just a thought...

    Hey guys,

Do any of you put a little bit of glycerin directly on top of your soap while loading your brush? I personally face lather and never use a bowl. I haven't tested it yet, but I figured this could be a good option..

I have done it, it does work.

Thanks! I think it would great with my puck of Tabac. I also got some samples from Carrie that I haven't yet tested.

The soaps I use all contain glycerine; so no I don't.

What if you use Michell's which is primarily lanolin? I, personally don't like to mix the different "types" of soap with Glycerin...that's one of the reasons I bowl lather...I get better control.

What I recommend doing, is maybe "palm lather"...1) load your brush with your favorite soap, 2) put a little glycerin (few drops) in the palm of your hand, 3) mix (a few swirls) and face lather as usual

    just my 2 cents

MWF already contains glycerine (its on the label). Also, it is not primarily lanoline, it just contains some lanoline.

I don't put any on top but when I warm my soap to make it fit my shaving mug I add some when I'm kneading it into shape. so it has glycerin running through it.
