No, I haven't given up.
I have had some serious delays though: I haven't been able to devote nearly as much time to learning the subtleties of straight technique as I had hoped. I'm basically limited to weekends when I have the time. I'm not giving up though--there's still quite a bit of interest from my "viewers" (I often suggest SRP to those who ask me questions about straight razor shaving).
