ATG on the Neck

I am really enjoying this new hobby! Everything is going great but my neck is the only place I'm having a little trouble with. If you are looking in the mirror going from right to left across the neck is the direction I need to go to get it BBS. Any tips for that? I just can't seem to find a great purchase on the razor without the scales getting in the way.
