I use 120 proof alcohol after every shave, but directly on my skin, in my AS, specifically there for disinfecting. After I use a little shea butter creme to counter the alcohol's drying effect on the skin. I have not had any problems with rashes, pimples or dryness.

I certainly have more trouble with whiteheads these days. Especially if I shave too closely. Avoiding extra close shaving definitely helps my skin. I remember my father having skin problems when he got older. I think it's more related to skin type and ageing rather than any other factor.
