Thanked: 0Finally Said Goodbye to the Mach 3
So the last few shaves have been near perfect, due to the help of a few people around here. They've been so good in fact that I've been able to skip the touchups with the Mach 3 completely.
But of course a success isn't without its failure. Last night I was setting the razor down and dinged it on the sink, leaving a slight dent in the blade. Not too happy with that.

Congrats on the improved shaves! Glad things are going well with them!
Sorry to hear about the blade though, how bad is the damage? Is it a small chip or a really big dent? Any chance of pic?
If the damage is reparable I'm happy to re-hone her for you for the price of postage? Just drop me a PM if you're interested!

Thanked: 0I'll get a pic up tonight when I get home. It's not that bad, just a slight dent but definitely noticeable when you look at it closely.
Thanks! I appreciate the offer.

Oh man is that a great feeling. I remember the day when I was finally able to do the complete shave with no touch ups. You just feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment.
Congratulations to you.
BTW - Don't event try to strop or shave with that dinged blade - bad things will happen!

Thanked: 0Good thing I have a spare razor that I recently purchased. I can just picture a nice gouge in my face if I tried with the dinged one.
