    Default Feeling Stupid....

So I was finishing up a great shave and got a little careless and while I was rinsing the blade somehow I lightly touched the blade on the faucet. I noticed two small places on the very edge of the blade got very slightly "bent." It still shaved fine and I stropped it 30 passes and it cleaned it up a bit. I've only had it a couple months and I'm thinking about just keeping on with it till it needs a hone. Thoughts? I'll try to get some pics later. The only way you can really see it is if the light hits it just right.

If the deformations did not scratch up your strop, then you probably can get by with just stropping a lot more. If that does not completely restore the blade, then back-honing would be the next step.

+1 to what Utopian says...if it doesn't scratch your strop go that route..if it scratches your strop though it wil scratch your face! Dont feel bad..i'm sure it's happened to all of us at some point..I caught my Fili on the facet and chipped the very tip...had to hone it out a bit and you can hardly tell, but it was a horrible feeling at the time.

I dropped my straight this morning and the really stupid thing is that I caught it in mid air. It was an automatic response. Fortunately, I caught it by the spine. No cuts, no amputations, no damage to the blade. Talk about stupid!
