Default am i shaving with a wedge?

so i'm one of those faux-straight users.. i employ a feather artist club dx.. for some reason i'm looking at it today as i am enjoying a nice "nightshave" and i think.. is this a wedge?

well guys.. is it? i mean.. is the shave i experience similar to what i would experience with a wedge grind razor?

a silly question maybe.. but just wondering.

(oh.. and check that out.. my post count just ticked over to 1,000!)

    Congrats on the 1k

I'd have to say not even close While the body may be thick and all, the edge is still a whisper thin piece of steel that can bend at the edge. Unless your using really thick insert blades.

    My 2 cents...

thanks.. i guess you are right.. i am using the feather light blades.. so maybe that's the complete opposite.. but i am about to run out and will be forced to use the regular professional blades i have left over from when i first started using the artist club..

    back to corking for awhile.

Funny,I seem to fear a feather shaver more then I ever would a straight. And I'm just as leary of a double edge. I love my straights.

i originally started with the artist club because i didn't want to strop or hone.. and to be honest.. i still don't.. i love the artist club.. perhaps i will start a collection of standard straights.. but i'm sure they will just be display for me..

as for the de.. i like them.. but no matter how hard i try.. i just can't come close to the shave i get with the artist club.

What ever works for you, and you like it, it's all good
