My still evolving routine...
I'm pretty new at this so it's still changing as I learn the lay of the land...er face...er beard...whatever. This is the latest iteration of my routine.
Hot Lather - WTG (that's N-S for me) for sideburns and cheeks on the right hand side.
N-S on the sideburns but NW to SE on the cheeks on the left hand side (that's all WTG)
WTG on the Neck and below the jawline (that's downward and diagonally from the center of the neck to the outside)
Hot Lather - XTG on the face, chin, jawline and mustache
Cold Rinse and Lather straight S-N on the neck. ATG on the mustache (I was feeling either brave, or stupid...probably both)
Water only touch-up.
I usually shave at night and have time to do it DEAD slow. Otherwise, it's a N-S pass everywhere then XTG. Not as smooth and there is a stubborn mustache whisker or two that refuse to be cut unless it's ATG (in which case I use the DE just for them). Seems to get the job done.
Happy Shaving!
