    Default Face diagram

Hey guys I was searching through the forums the other day and came across a post that had a link to a face diagram, that has tools to show hair direction, stretching and shaving directions. I forgot to bookmark it and now I can't find it. If anyone knows the link for this could you post it for me. Thanks in advice gents.

I think the images you want are in this wiki article:
Shaving passes - Straight Razor Place Wiki

The WTG pass from that article:

I just looked at my face in the mirror, and it doesn't have any of those lines or arrows on it at all. I'm going to draw them on tonight so I can shave better tomorrow.

Big problem w/ face diagrams: they presume that everyone's beard growth patterns are the same.

    They're not!!!

You will have to spend time figuring out hair growth for your face & plan your strokes accordingly. For example, the diagram says to go down for the 1st pass on the neck--that's almost ATG for me--I have to go up & to the side.

    Stuff like that.

that's why I made the whisker map application. it allows you to map your own face for your specific needs.

That diagram is actually intended as a training tool for barbers, the shaded or unshaded areas represent the different strokes and the numbers are the order in which they are done.

I've been in an upscale barbershop in the Seattle area that will give you a custom face map for $50

your local barber might also be able to help you out
