Thread: My Son

My shave of the day was the best I've had yet. I am a relative newbie, and this evening my 19 year old son came into my office and asked to shave with one of my straights. He is in woodworking and uses sharp and I mean sharp hand tools all day (chisels and hand planes) Now I know it's totally different but I said sure. So I had the honor of spending an hour or so going through the process. He has that confidence of youth and took the blade to his face like he had done it before. Fist shave was WTG only, but it came out great, no nicks or cuts. I am a bit jealous about that. He used my Henckels 401 and is on the way to a lifetime of enjoyment. We both prefer to shave in the evening, it really helps after a busy day. So I'm looking forward to shaving together with my son. I recommend any fathers out there to share your experience with your son's and encourage them to "go old school".
