One week
One week ago tomorrow I got my first razor. Tonight was my fourth shave and I finally got a bbs shave!!! 3 passes and a tiny bit of irritation but this smoothness is soooo worth it. Hopefully next time I'll get this close and this smooth with only 2 passes that theoretically will lead to less irritation. I went completely atg on my neck and cheeks and xtg on my chin. I'm so thrilled to have done this with no blood in the sink! Thanks to all you guys on here who have helped me thus far by posting such wonderful and helpful posts! Good night all. Dream of smoothness.

Well done!
As you are finding, it takes a bit of time for each gent to find the "touch" that works for them. keep focus on technique, keep the pressure light, experiment with angles and you will reach shaving Nirvana!

well it has been almost 24 hours since that shave... and IT"S STILL BBS! I probably won't even get to shave tomorrow because that shave was so close! Bittersweet but oh so smooth... I love it!

Right on, dude. I've been shaving with a straight for a little while, and I haven't got the guts to go ATG at any point, especially not in the hollows on my neck. XTG is about as crazy as I'm gonna get. Way to go.Last edited by SonOf1337; 01-30-2011 at 03:37 AM. Reason: fixing the image...
