One of my work colleagues bought a dovo best quality years back and is only using that blade to shave his face & head. He got into SR shaving because he was spending a little fortune on cartridges. The only money he put in SR shaving since his original razor/strop/brush/soap purchase is a Norton 4000/8000 combo, and a 2nd strop that he pasted with jewelers rouge.

After a lot of searching and RAD rehab I have settled into a one razor routine. I use a scalloped back Friodor, and a stropping technique that I have tweeked over the ages. The razor is always scary sharp, and I just couldn't asked for more from a razor. So...minus the discovery ....the author is correct....except that darned Damascus bug wont go away!
