    Default Finally.....crap

Well, about a dozen shaves in to this twisted new obsession and i finally got cut up.

Till now I had used my right hand on my left side, left hand on my right side. I new it wasn't what the beginner instructions said, but it worked well for me; no cuts no nicks no errors. Well today before i shaved I thought: 'I wonder how it is to shave right side/right hand and left side/left hand, maybe they're on to something...

Before I had time to think: 'what are you thinking?'. I had 2 nicks and cut on the right side

! And the lessons i learned today boys and girls... (sponsored by the letter C and the number 3); 'Stick with what works for you dummy'

    that is all...

Unless one has very long arms, regular method should be superior.

I am only a couple of shaves in, but I am finding that I block my vision if I do the right hand/right side method. It may be my technique that is off. However, if what you are doing works for you, who is to say it is wrong?

The way to tell if your technique is propper is if you are enjoying the shave. If you are enjoying it you are doing it right. If you are not enjoying it, then something is wrong.

I think that what works well for one guy might not work well for another guy. I've watched alot of videos and seen it done well both ways. For myself, I've found that RH/RS and LH/LS works well on my cheeks and everything else I use my right hand, crossing over when necessary. I'm still learning, so I could be wrong too. LOL

    Red face the grim shaver

i may have picked up the habit of using a somewhat slanted or "scything" motion across my jaw and chin (esp. chin) just because it's the more comfortable way for me to hold the razor that way for that part of my face. I haven't cut my "protrusions" (which scything is warned against) and it's forgivable to the extent i've taken it.
