Thread: Poor results of straight shaving - very disappointed

The learning curve for shaving with a straight, honing and stropping is rather steep. Stick with it, it's a challenge. I am just now getting consistent close and smooth shaves, but I learned the hardest way possible, having to learn how to hone, strop and shave by myself. I was always hobbled by something not up to snuff in one category or another. It has been about three years for me now. Believe me, it takes time and patience but once things fall into place it's a lot easier and a lot more satisfying. Just have fun with it. )
