    Smile A "Found it" moment!

Just about three months in and this morning another of those "Oh yeah" discoveries. Following my usual prep routine (soak brush and bowl in warm water, shower, lather and 20 laps on the strop) I made my usual two pass WTG & ATG on the face and a kind of X stroke on my neck then a cold water rinse and another against grain pass on face and a repeat of the X stroke on my neck and my half hollow Dovo was buttering more toast than ever before. Could have been the cold water pass or maybe better skin stretching but either way a GREAT way to start the day.

I'm still working my way through lots of "Oops", "Ouch", "Oh dang", and "Dang it" moments as well as some that aren't printable here.

I got my 'Oh Yea" moment with a Boker's Best Brand. On the first stroke I said "Did it cut any hair?" I checked and the hair was gone...my first buttery smooth stroke that Bokers are famous for.

Really like those green scales. Very nice looking razor.

    Hey Bill,
Sorry about not getting back to you sooner. Warm weather has made things pretty hectic and just haven't had time to respond.

I traded an old very rustic Wade & Butcher meat clever I picked up at a yard sell for it. Didn't have to do much cleaning but I made the scales out of some blanks I bought from Nerdman, he is the one I traded razors with. The Boker's Best Brand now sports blue translucent acrylic scales (blanks bought from Nerdman) and the green are on a Boker 386. The blue scales were on the 386 but the toe stuck up too high out of the blue scales so I did a switch between the Boker's Best Brand and the Boker 386. I'll post some pics as soon as I get a chance.
