Good question, I recently started straight shaving. But two months ago i already started using a brush and shaving soap. So my pre- and post shaving is the same, including the Tabac shaving cream. Now the "new" whiskers" just are less sharp.

... And now for some good soaps & creams that are also affordable:

    Palmolive soap
Mitchell's Wool Fat soap (my everyday favourite)
    TOBS creams
St James "Cedarwood & Clarysage" cream

... And for those special days

    Acca Kappa Almond cream
    Acca Kappa 1869 cream
    Castle Forbes Lavender cream

Mine could be softer but more uniform I would say and a little bit straighter if possible. Not as many in-grown haris as before. One way to find out is to go back and shave with a DE to test! I'll pass on that one!

I think that most of us take more care of our skin (beard wise) than before with all the possible lotions, cremes, and potions that are available. Healthier skin at least.

After a good cleaning with hot soap and water i will add a few drops of olive oil extra virgin to my skin and rub it in, Then a cold water shave using Proraso followed by Nivea Sensitive Skin balm.

In The Netherlands it's available at every chain of pharmacies(and independents too), it's like the William's in the US in terms of availability. I suggest going into a large pharmacy/drugstore and checkout the shaving section.

We got it in bilka, but it costs 5$
Sometimes when people buy products at a good low price, there is a posibilty that you can buy other products at a good low price. That was the reason for my question

the pharmacy around the corner sells it for 1,40. I did see it for 1 euro somewhere... but if you are gonna buy something from the internets, i think there are better options concerning sending cost. But if you want i could send you a tube....dont think it will differ much though. Try looking in germany (webshops) its closer and they had palmolive there cheaper than in the NL.
