Thread: First shave

Had the first shave with a couple of my referbs after honing
The short Pipe was ok, could use a little more on the stones
The Artist was simply perfect ,I may be a tad biased ,but you cant blame me
I have taken the pics for comparison. The pipe razor was described in excellent condition on flea boy,and I must admit what was left of the blade was in excellent condition

Congrats of the first shave. There's nothing like getting a good shave with a razor you honed yourself. That short razor is pretty neat. If you have a beard, it would work pretty well for trimming around it.

Congrats on the first shave! That is the first razor I have seen in long time that has a short blade. I have one with a fancy handle. It has a small area on the edge where ther was a rust spot and I have not been able to hone it to shave condition yet. (I may send it to Lynn)
