My first razor
Today for the first time again shaved the first str8 I ever bought (Heart Ring 151) three years back.
It is less than two and half years since I've shaved with the razor.
A few days ago I gave him along a Naniwa 12,000, and today through a leather strop.
I thought he was better today than a few years back.
Think I am going to use him more often. Or even better I give it to my 23 year old son.
First get it over him so he wants to shave with a str8.
Do you use your razor first sometimes?

Those are great shavers!
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

It must be a great feeling to get your first razor back into your rotation. Alas, I cannot say the same. I still have my first razor, however, the edge needs some serious attention. I've tried a barber's hone, pasted strop, DIY CrOx balsa paddle strop to no avail. I think it's time to finally invest in some hones as I would love to bring it back to being shave ready,(HAD here I come). Congrats on enjoying your first razor again!

First off, NICE razor!! I do shave with my first razor. I only got it about 4 weeks ago. Now I have about 8, and waiting for a Crown & Sword ERN I bought off ebay for 12.00.
I find them a beautiful tool that has individuality like none other. About the only one I really don't care that much for, although it's extrememly HHT sharp is the J.A. Henckels, and that is because it is a 3/8. I've used it on my upper lip being good for close work.
Looking at your avatar you missed a spot, right there in the middle of your chin. Maybe you were changing hands and forgot to get it.....~~ Vern ~~
