Default Things changed for the (even) better last week.

I seem to have some sort of break through last week. My shaves got much closer with either no nicks or ones so small they are almost not noticeable. It's strange, it just happened. I believe this is due to a greater understanding of my face and how to adjust the razors angle with the different angles on my face. My best shaver (less expensive, go figure) is the humble Dovo Best Quality 6/8 I got from SRD. After a shave (and about 5 hours later) I can slide my fingers/hand down my face/neck and it's totally smooth to the touch, zero resistance. My Dovo Forestal is just a touch behind the Best Quality but gives a nice shave as well. I can't thank you all enough for your help and guidance. It keeps getting better! I miss my beard but every time I think about growing it back, I know how much I'm going to miss shaving with a cut throat!

    That's great news!
I know where you're coming from, it felt just like that to me too.
It was like taking steps every now and then, and they seemed to just happen.
I bet you are right, it's all about gaining experience and applying that to every new shave.

    Good post!

Yep! Sometimes your technique, prep, and edge all come into shape and the result is a surprise.

    Smile Good For You!

It is great to hear a success story. It is strange how it just comes together. Of course, practice does help.

Glad you are having such great luck.

As you shave more and more you gain facility with the razor. I remember when I started there were certain moves and areas I avoided and then I day I just did it and I survived.
