Default IMPROVEMENT! shaving with both hands

as i have said multiple times, i've been shavette / straight shaving for only a few months. i've gotten much better all around in my shaving and i enjoy it very much. i just started shaving with both my right and left hand (i'm a righty) last week. after my shave today with my shavette (my straight razors is out getting honed) i realized that the left side of my face was smoother than my right side. i guess i'm getting good quick with my left hand!
i just wanted to post this because i was so proud of myself! and also, to all beginners who have seen videos of people using their left hand as well as their right, it isn't as difficult as it seems. you just have to start out slow and you will pick up the technique very quick.
thanks for reading my newest accomplishment!

As I have been learning to shave with a straight I too found it not as difficult to shave with both hands as I thought it would be. It is slowly coming along but it just takes practice.

My experience with starting to use both hands was that it actually improved my technique a bit. I had to concentrate on getting the basics (angle, pressure, stroke, etc.) down so well to use the left hand that the knowledge also helped my right hand be more effective. Like straight shaving itself, it seems more intimidating than it actually is.

    Hello hcintineo
I've been straight shaving 7 months now. I got Lynn's DVD when I got started and immediately began shaving with both hands. I'm right handed so shaving with the left still feels a bit strange depending upon where on my face I am trying to shave. However, it's not as bad as I thought when I first attempted it. Like you I'm getting better all the time. Keep at it and good shaving.

thanks everyone for congratulating me. i put this thread up not only to tell of my progress, but to let new beginners know that shaving with both hands isn't as scary and intimidating as it may seem.
