Thanks Lynn
Just got back 4 razors that Lynn honed for me. The first one I tried was a Manhattan Cutlery wedge that is a big heavy razor. Took a shower, prepped my face and gave it a go. What an incredible shave. All I can say is Thanks to Lynn for a great experience. I now have 3 more days of new surprises when I try the other ones. I now know for sure what a properly honed razor shaves like and I couldn't be happier. You did a great job Lynn and I can't wait to try the others. Quick turnaround, great communication and a wonderful job.
Thanks again,
Walter

I have two new razors (Dovo Black Micarta & Thiers-Issard Le Grelot) and one vintage razor honed by Lynn and his work is superb. Using these razors greatly aided in my developing a good straight razor technique.
I sent him a vintage Case Red Imp 132 that was in pretty bad shape. It was a razor I had owned and abused for nearly 50 years and it had a lot of sentimental value. He went the extra mile and kept working on it until it was truly shave-ready. I know he spent an inordinate amount of time to correct the poor honing and fix the razor but didn't charge me anything beyond his normal honing fee. He is a class act.
Lynn has shown himself to be a visionary leader in straight shaving. He leads the way for all of us to gain the necessary knowledge to enjoy this great hobby. His DVD, "The World of Straight Razor Shaving," is a great resource.
I am also impressed with the kind, non-judgmental, and thoughtful answers he gives to the many questions he receives. He has shown himself to be a consummate gentleman and a great role model.
Thanks Lynn!

I couldn't agree more. The wedge he worked on had to take a while to get into shape. I am eagerly awaiting the next three shaves to see the difference in the others I sent. Next up will be the Wade and butcher. Then the Boker Red Injun 101. I am looking forward to seeing how the hollow ground 101 will feel once properly honed. I have had bad experiences with hollows eating my face up. The primary reason I bought the wedge. I am really looking forward to the next three shaves.

My three smoothest shaving razors are (1) a 6/8 Wade & Butcher "The Celebrated," (2) a 5/8 Geo. Wostenholm "Original Pipe Razor," and (3) a 5/8 Boker "Extra Hollow Ground -Tree" razor. They consistently give me close but comfortable shaves. My best razor overall is the Thiers-Issard Le Grelot. It is in a class all its own.
Hope you love your Boker and W&B.Last edited by DLB; 05-08-2011 at 05:50 PM.

Gentlemen:
The noble Lynn has honed most of my new model razors, and restored and honed the few vintage blades in my modest collection.
Lynn also has been my mentor and shave guru.
I know what you gentlemen mean by the mastery of the noble Lynn's craftsmanship.
Regards,
Obie
