Thanked: 121What would you take?
The end of the world (shaveapocalypse) has arrived. You are fortunate enough to win the lottery and will be transported to a "safe planet," but there are carry-on limits. Concerning your shaving items, you may choose: ONE straight razor, ONE brush, ONE soap or cream, ONE hone, ONE strop, ONE aftershave/cologne. No need to worry about replacing expendable items: the magnetron reformulator will recreate those, so if you choose, say, MWF, you will always have it, from here to eternity. What would you put in your valise???
For me: My Le Gelot 1/4 grind, Kent BK8, Speick stick, La Veinette Coticule, Tony Miller linen/horsehide, Hammam Bouquet.
What would you choose??

Hone....hmmm....don't really do my own right now, but I guess I'd take the Norton 4K/8K....?Last edited by crichton; 05-10-2011 at 01:11 AM.

My homemade strop, my Harris Goar razor made in Kansas City with the Elgin watch advertisement, One of my badger brushes, Pinaud Clubman, Keen cutter barbers hone. I would also cheat like hell and fuse 3 of Colleens soaps together as one puck, Leatherneck, Bay Rum/Orange and an Oak and Moss.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Thanked: 121Sorry, your visa to the safe planet has been revoked by the Intergalactic Security Team for attempting to meld three soaps into one. You are banished to planet 3nb7wr. Estimated time until neutralization: .0031 (earth) seconds. Your equipment has been confiscated and given to me for safekeeping.
Have a nice day!!!

Krusius Bros. "Royal Oak" razor
Jaguar boar brush
Proraso sensitive shave soap
pink coti
Illinois #827 strop
Solea aftershave
That's six items.
Wait - are there girls on this trip? If not, I might substitute one for the aftershave.

My answer will vary from day-to-day but at the moment:
6/8 Thiers-Issard Le Grelot
Dovo Black Micarta Silvertip Badger Brush
Proraso Green SC
SRD Double-sided Leather strop paddle
Franz Swaty razor hone
Royal Copenhagen AS, Balm, Cologne
However, if Lynn Abrams isn't also selected to go on this journey, I am in serious trouble.

My choices would be:
J.R. Torry
The brush I made
P.160
My tony miller or srd modular strop (can't decide yet but probably the modular)
Hai Karate as
Probably a norton 4/8K
I would also be willing to share anything since all expendable things can be replaced (in hopes that others will share as well.
