I second this and what was said above. I have gotten slight bumps where the cheek means the chin when using a razor that hasn't been honed well enough. I have also had this happen with my Gillette SS when my shaving angle or speed is off. I would not call it a rash. More like irritation/razor bumps. After a two or three days it usually goes away.

I would try changing up blades and paying close attention to the basics. Angle, speed, skin stretching.

Westcoastshaving.com sells sample packs if you want to try a variety of blades to find what works best for you.

    Less pressure.

One systematic light pass. Skip the BBS goal for now.

No alcohol or aftershave with fragrance. Most aftershaves
are not helpful for a razor rash. They are often designed for
the gal not the mans face.

Wait a full 20 min for your face to dry then apply
    a balm like Nivea.

Shave in the PM about 2 hours before bedtime not AM...

    Alum block.

    Clean dry towel...

This can prove difficult while your skin is healing.
You can use a couple drops of mineral oil or Vaseline as
a post shave balm. Try a little antibiotic ointment
on a patch to see if that helps.

Consider using a small bag of BiC for Sensitive skin yellow handled
tossables while you heal. Their site has/ had some info that
    is a big help.
