It's every morning - part of my daily morning ritual.
Due to heavy beard growth, I use a straight razor daily, I can "get away with" TWO days at most without looking (and feeling) like a cactus.
I shave daily..I have thick and dark facial hair, I get the Homer Simpson shadow after about 12 hours no matter what I shave with..DE, SE, Straight, etc. It depends on you and what your needs are, really.
I shave prettty much every day (currently 18 days continuous with a straight) because I like the feeling of the smooth skin and love the ritual.
Nothing starts the morning better than taking a razor sharp knife to your face. Everything else that day is easy after than. :-)

Daily...except on weekends. I don't see a difference between my straight and my DE safety razors. I might get a slightly better shave with the straight, but I also get more cuts, nicks, and scrapes. Regardless, I still need to shave daily.
Should be daily but if my wife is working I often don't have the energy after the kids are on bed (she works 7p-7a 3 days a week and I work 8.30a-5.15p M-F).
Sometimes I make a cup of coffee just so I can have the energy to shave before bed.
If I need a shave but was too wiped out before bed I do a quick one pass on my neck with my shavette before work so I don't tear up the collars of my shirts.
I shave twice a day, have been for the past 30+ years.
When I was using electric, I shaved every 3 days because it took FOREVER and I was lazy. With the cartridge razors, it was every two days because of razor burn and cuts. With the straight, I'm shaving every day for two reasons. First is that I need the practice, and second is because my technique isn't good enough to get a close shave, so I need to do it every day. But I'm glad to say there's no burn...daily shaving was unheard of with a cartridge.
I think it all comes down to hair growth. I can go two days without any problems, but I have friends who grow a stubble after 7 hours, so it's not a general rule to go X days or hours without shaving. I have soft facial hair and it pretty much goes unnoticed, even if it's there. On my chin it grows much faster than my whiskers, for example. That's why I let a goatee and moustache on, since I always irritate when shaving them off.
Since I haven't mastered the straight well yet, I have to go daily with it if I don't finish on the DE. If I use the DE, I can go easily for two days. If I choose to go ATG with the straight it's the same thing, but I'm avoiding that because there were instances when I got a BBS - probably by mistake, cos I don't recall doing anything differently than usual - without ATG and I want to perfect my technique to acquire those constantly.
