Default How many days between shaves?

How many days do you normally go between shaves, using a straight razor vs. say a Gillette Mach 3 or equivalent.

When I use the Mach 3 I find I have to shave everyday, with the straight I can go two full days.

    How about you?

I'm about the same as you. My M3 shave would start to get rough in 10-12 hours when a good straight shave lasts almost twice that before the stubble gets rough.

It's basically the same with me.
A straight shave lasts me a good 6-8 hours more than with a Fusion.
I CAN go two days between shaves without appearing as a hobo, I just don't want to.
    Everyday it is, for me

i shave every 2nd day...... *(shaved last night.... will shave friday night)....

when i was using disposables i shaved whenever the wife started complaining....

BUT... i have never noticed where straight shaves last longer than disposable.... hair growth is hair growth.... it always regrows at the same rate..... i shave tonight and in the morning my face is scratchy..... *(in my job it i don't have to worry about my appearance)...

With a Mach 3 went 24 hours, with a straight - 36 hours to get to the same point.

For me, not to get razor burn and to let cuts heal enough 60hrs. My facial hair doesnt grow good and is thick, so if I go 2 days without shaving, its a lot better than every other day.

I've seen the claim made that disposables cut whiskers off beneath the skin. This is alleged to be a cause of ingrown hairs.

But if is true that disposables do cut whiskers off beneath the skin, then it follows that they cut the beard shorter than a straight could. It would also follow that the shave with a disposable would last longer.
