Thread: Bleeding finger and a great shave!!!

Had an interesting morning shave. Everything was going great, using my newly rescaled Reppenhagen (dropped it and broke the original scales), some Mama Bear's Cedarwood/Lemon soap and having a great time. Then it all went to pot.

First wife came in and started chatting with me. Then my oldest kept running in and asking me and the wife questions. At one point I forgot the cardinal rule, always know where the razor is, looked at my daughter and felt the sharp sting on my right hand pointer finger, just past the cuticle. Nice little slice that immediately began to bleed.

Luckily I had just finished my XTG pass so I wrapped some TP around it, splashed some water on my face, and waited for my wife to get a bandaid ready. Stopped the bleeding and finished a very good shave. Only a couple of little nicks from trying some new angles to tackle the tough spots, no razor burn and a great shave that caused the wife to pause cheek to cheek a bit longer.

Worth a little bit of blood for sure.

I always shave when the wife and kid are gone or most definitely occupied elsewhere. Otherwise I lock the door and the rest of the world out.

On the plus side, this will have probably traumatized them both that they'll leave you alone while shaving from now on in.

I think we've all done this at some point in time.
I have started to invite the wife into the restroom while shaving so that I could form a tolerance.
I also shave at night so my daughter is asleep...usually.

occasionally the wife will come in and talk to me while i am shaving... which is ok.... until the babies want to come in and hang out with us.... pookie is 99lbs and dexter is 115... we have a small bathroom....

this is the moment when everyone gets evicted.....
