I was also considering making a straight razor out of bronze recently. The issue is it cant be store bought bronze it has to be a home made alloy of 12% tin of higher, but I'm going for it anyways and I will let you know how it turns out

Maybe not. The Pharaoh's of Egypt shaved with bronze razors. Bronze Age smiths were capable of doing astounding things with that metal. For what it's worth in the credibility department, I have a PhD from Yale in ancient history/language matters, and publish articles dealing with particulars of Bronze and Early Iron age culture and history. Not talking out of my hat here.
