Let me know if you want to borrow one of my J. Crowley 8/8 Friodur's for a week or so and I'll ship ya one to try out.

When I got my 8/8 Filarmonica a while a go, I thought I was going to sell all of my small razors and become a big razor man. Now I use my 5/8 Wonderedge, Friodur, and Pierre Thiers as much or more than my 7/8+ razors. The large blades do seem to give a better first pass for some reason, but I really enjoy the smaller ones for maneuverability. The stability IS a factor as was mentioned earlier; especially if you are not a stretcher. Hell, I think I'll go shave with my 7/8 TI Stamina right now; it's a good one. Happy Sunday!

Just wondering, if I take the 25 inch blade off my chainsaw and hone it, does that beat an 8/8?
