Adam, face yours razors and close your eyes for a moment. Now open them. One of those razors will hold your view a moment longer than it will the others. It will smile at you. That's the one. Do the same with the soaps and the aftershave. This is a question for the heart rather than the mind. Go with what your heart tells you.

Thanked: 1185I'd say,
Horse Butt Strop
Your favorite Boker
Vulfix Lime Cream
Alum Block (and/or Witch Hazel)
Dominica Bay Rum with Lime
I've got a soft spot for Bokers as the Red Injun 102 was my first ever str8. Of your gear, I'd probably rock the King Cutter but hey, it's your party. Congratulations on your wedding, Brother. May you and your bride have a lifetime of happiness together. The older I get, the better I was

Thanked: 94Ok so SWMBO weighed in while I was staring at the razors trying to see who smiled the brightest.....(They all smile so pretty!!)looks like the 9/8 George Wostenholm IXL takes 1st prize, I will be bringing my 1920's Boker scalloped spine as my back up. Horse butt is going to be the strop. Will be going with the AOS pure badger with Vulfix rose and Cella uber lather. Alum to finish with a dose of AOS sandlewood and finished with Ogallala sage and cedar. Firehouse wacky tacky for the stash and away we go!
Should be a great day all around! Thanks all

Thanked: 2I think you must use the W&B Battleship because, afterall, you are getting married and have many battles to look forward to in the future.
All kidding aside, congrats and enjoy the last shave as a single man.

Thanked: 94I brought 3 with me, the 9/8 GW, the 8/8 gilbert, and the 6/8 TI. I used the Cella+vulfix rose uberlather and the AOS pure badger. I did a three pass shave with the three different razors. 9/8 wg, 8/8 xg, and TI to clean up going AG. for after shave I used alum first, then AOS sandlewood balm, then Ogallala sage and cedar, and right before heading out I splashed on some dominicana bay rum.
I looked and smelled great! I will have to wait till the photographer gives me prints and I will post one
thank you all for your kind words and interest!!

Thanked: 7Oh I hate snipers, too,
Congrats, man, and I regret to hear the W&B wasn't part of the last lineup as a bachelor. I have a thing with those. No matter what razors I use daily, and I include Filarmonica or Engels, W&B always has a pass there, it sorta crawls up to the top o' the list. I think I'll sell the rest to buy more of them. Cheers and congrats.

Oh, the tyranny of choice. My wedding day was long ago but I'm sure that the last thing on my mind was what to shave with. I doubt that I gave it conscious thought. In the 1970s it was probably either my Schick or my Schick, I may have put a fresh blade in it.
