Tonight I kicked it up another notch
I've been shaving with a straight a year this month. Until now I've been terrified of trimming my mustache over the top of my lip with the razor. Well tonight (about 30 minutes ago) I went for it. I used a 6/8 square point beauty I got off ebay. I took my time and wah lah! A neatly trimmed mustache. Man do I feel empowered. Finished with Thayers rose scented witch hazel and Nivea Replenishing Balm. I'm looking good, feeling good and smelling good. What a winning combination. Now for a good nights sleep.

Thanked: 1195It's amazing how versatile a straight can be, but the sense of accomplishment is even better! I've never attempted it myself whenever I've worn a mustache, but I guess it's dependent on the style you wear.
Have fun

Thanked: 485Do you mean the top edge closer to the nose or bottom edge closer to your mouth? I only really do the edges as they extend from the corners of my mouth, though they're getting longer these days and turning into a porn star moustache. I use the heel of the razor to shave around the goatee and don't really worry about the bit under my bottom lip (soul patch?)
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Carlmaloschneider, I mean the bottom edge closer to the mouth. Tried it once before and cut myself. Been razor shy ever since until the other night. Maybe its the growing experience base.
