    Tom Blodgett in the first video is a very well regarded honer btw.

    'BTW' nobody disputes that. A couple of years ago he learned how to hone straight razors with the help of this forum.

    Jens did say he was coating his fingers with alum to help "grab' the skin for proper stretching....that's kind of a neat idea IMHO
