Thread: Whats going on here?

Well I've read about this happening to people but its never happened to me before and no I'm not talking about...never mind.

The last time I used my revisor in my rotation about a month ago it gave me the usual outstanding shave and just yesterday I used it again and not only did it not give me a decent shave it just wouldn't shave at all and I mean after using it my face felt like I still had two days growth of beard no pulling or anything just nothing.

So the question is what happened. The only thing I can think of is that the last time I used the razor I was becoming concerned about a small spot on the blade which seemrd to have some corrosion on it (not near the bevel) and my usual sterol wasn't doing anything to stop it and I tried some Russells no rust which is a silicon based material. Is it possible somehow it affected the shaving ability?

This weekend I polished out the corrosion and had it visit the yellow coticule and now its back to its usual outstanding condition.

If you overhoned it the first time, it will shave once, but the second one will be torture. Happened to me once with the Taylor. had to take it back to the JPs.

Maybe it just dulled from oxidation.
