    Default Say Hallelujah!

I had my first nick-free SR shave today with my Feather AG!! I used Proraso in my new Dirty Bird scuttle and REALLY took my time, making nano-strokes on my chin. Except for a few spots, its BBS. Totally pleased.

Thanks to all for your sage advice!

Yeah I'm about 12 hours in and still pretty durn smooth. The only thing that sucks about that is that I may not need to shave tomorrow (and I really want to try my new Dovo 6/8 razor )

Congrats!!! The shaves will get better and closer as your skills improve.

Hello Rich, and congratulations on the shave. Remember that enjoying the shave with the straight razor is the ultimate goal and the BBS usually its by-product. I love the ritual, from lathering to stropping and shaving. If I don't get a BBS, I shrug it off, because tomorrow I'll be up before dawn to embrace it all over again.

I get it. It's the journey, not necessarily the destination. Of note, I'm finding the shaves are getting easier as I get a feel for the razor. Not just scraping my face, but feeling the nuances of each stroke. I see that it, indeed, a learned skill.
