How many razors in a rotation is too many razors in a rotation?
Just wondering what the outer bounds are for some of you folks as far as an active rotation. I've got eight razors now, and since I only shave every couple of days, I'm not working through the rotation for quite awhile. I know some of you have huge collections, but do you use all the razors, or just keep your active rotation down to a set number?

Thanked: 1587I consider everything shave-ready to be in my rotation. I am not sure how many that is to be honest - more than 30 but less than 100 would be my best guess without going to any effort. It tends to wax and wane as I put razors on the "to hone" pile, or as others come in off the "honed" pile etc.
There are some razors I have not used in years - it is always a very pleasant surprise to discover one at the back of the drawer and for that reason I do not consider my rotation too large - a large rotation simply means you are constantly being surprised!

I test all new acquired razors, If I really like them after a week or so of shaving I'll keep them, all others are either sold or given away. Because I know that only those that shave and handle wonderfully (for me) will get used, don't see the point in keeping the others. Life is to short to use anything but what you like best.

A hard question to answer really.
Some 40-60 razors seems to pop up more often in my daily shave than the rest.
Every single one is potentially a candidate any given day though.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

If you shave every day with a different razor and don't see the first razor for 5 years, you still don't have enough razors.

Thanked: 17I would think too many razors would be when you can't remember the last time you shaved with that razor. I'm at 7 and working on more. :-)

Just around 50 in my rotation. I think it is adequate for me.
