    FWIW --

When I get a cut, I revert to the DE until it's healed. Shouldn't take more than a day or two. If it did, I'd probably do a straight-razor shave on most of my face, and use a DE around the cut.

It's possible to get a cut with a DE, of course. I won't suggest an electric razor when that happens.<g>

Well this morning I managed to use both the SR and the DE razor without cutting myself. However, I think I need to wait a day (not shave tomorrow) because I really wasn't getting much with the SR and that's because I'm not sure much was there!!! Need to wait a day to have something to shave

Re: nicks/cuts--I've found that if I keep a little triple anitbiotic ointment on them, they heal really quickly. But I've never let having a nick or a cut keep me from shaving the next day. I think I just usually use a VERY light touch there. Sometimes it opens back up a little bit, sometimes not.

Another poster to this thread asked whether Larry hones razors he doesn't sell. He certainly does, for a really reasonable price, and in my experience has a really quick turn-around time. For my money, ya can't go wrong with that guy!

    Hope this helps.
