    ~~~~wouldn't we all....FWIW, I paid (approx.) $35 for the Red Injun I won in an ebay auction. Here's what it looked like when I recieved
    actually, I cleaned the blade with a 3M pad/sponge (on the reverse side) and some soft scrub, then took this photo. I felt that I did well on this auction in that this razor turned out to be a good shaver for me. It was and is in good condition. That said, I know of at least one other straight razor shaver that has tried this exact same blade and he didn't care for it, but like the man said, "to each his own'
    FWIW2, all I have done with this blade besides taking it to my hones has been to clean/polish the blade w/Maas (after this photo was taken)...it's nice to score something from ebay once in a while that doesn't need extensive work to get into shave ready condition
    ~~~Thanks Tyler but I really didn't have to use much in the way of talent to get it where it is...it really only needed to be cleaned and polished. Someone took care of this razor before it was sold in an estate sale. The seller told me he found it (@ an estate sale) in or around Oil City PA.

    FWIW, to clean between the schales I used a thin 3M pad soaked in water and squirted some liquid dish detergent on it, then I just move it between the schales...this usually does a good job of cleaning the schales (between them) on most used razors I come across

    ~~~I was high bidder...at the time I was looking for this exact same razor, so until I found it, my serches on ebay were confined to 'Red Injun' razors. They're out there, and it helps to know what you are looking for and narrow your search to a particular model so you only look at razors fitting that description, instead of wasting a lot of time wading through a lot of other models till you find it. Good luck and happy hunting finding the straight razor of your dreams
