Thanked: 17Lessons from this mornings shave
Had a great shave this morning. One of the smoothest I've had in quite a while. However learned some lessons I wanted to pass along so that others might learn from my experiences.
1. Don't get so caught in admiring how absolutely slick your 1st attempt at uberlather is that you forget to pay attention to angle and pressure.
2. Make sure that you don't keep checking out the nice little slice on the left side of your face while you are actually shaving the right side of your face.
3. Me and the styptic pencil have had to become way too good of friends lately.
4. Now matter how good you have gotten, don't forget the basics and make sure you concentrate, concentrate, concentrate.
Please, learn from my lessons.

Thanked: 17CaliforniaCajun,
Hadn't even noticed it was my 100th post. I linger/read much more here than I actually post since I'm still learning so much.
Haven't touched the DE in weeks and can't stand the idea of a cartridge/goop shave. Nope, not going there again. I love my straights. The whole process is so introspective, calming, and just plain awesome. Wife loves it too since I actually shave more days than I skip now.

Thanked: 17Just about forgot to list out my Uberlather recipe:
5 drops of glycerin
dash of Kiss My Face unscented
Mama Bears Autumn Lodge
I use the glycerin/Autumn Lodge on most days and love it. Adding in the KMF seemed to really thicken up the lather. Worked beautifully.
