Got the rest of my SRD stuff in the mail yesterday! I now have somewhere to put my razor. Used the proraso pre shave before I got in the shower, and my new alum block after the shave. Enjoyed both, got a little minty numb face in the shower and tried out the Truefitt pre shave oil again for pre shave. All in all another good shave. I got two teeny tiny nicks in my strop from trying to make sure I was getting some pressure on the toe, but not bad. Also nicked a mole on my cheek, which I was expecting to be a problem from the get go. Starting to get my hand motions down and what to do where, need to work on stropping more and I think my lather was a little watery again.

Another good morning. I got a cappuccino mug and made my first uberlather this morning. Being somewhat sleepy.. there is a possibility I put baby oil instead of glycerin in the mix but it turned out good anyways. Used my blood orange soap from SRD, Truefitt 1805, Glycerin/Baby Oil?, and my Simpson brush. I was able to get it on nicely and paint it after I massaged it in, worked very well. Still getting a little burn on my neck, but I think its getting better. Stropping went well too, I don't think it was quite as sharp today, but I got a good transition and feel like I have more control. Maybe combine this method with a tad more pressure next time. I went ATG on my whole face accept my chin because there really isnt room, and got nice and smooth. Just two WTG passes on the neck and it is better than before, but still needing some help.

For your razor burn, try witch hazel, available at any drugstore. Plain T. N. Dickinson's will do just fine. I had to get used to the scent (think old damp leaves and twigs) at first, but nothing I've tried so far cools razor burn faster.
