I am told that brussels sprouts are a little bit better but
my SWMBO does not like them.
It's not up to her. It's you that's trying to grow a beard, not her. You can paint them orange and tell her they're peeled, miniature cantalopes.

My wife refers to it as "Razor Rattle" being a good wife she nods and smiles, and even presses pause on the DVR playback, lets me run out of steam and then presses play

I am pretty sure she by now understands that Bevel setting is really the most imortant part of honing too

I bet she's already learnt to hone by osmosis & doesn't realise it.

This might be a little off topic, but here goes. I would like to see a honing competition between Lynn and Glen's wives. See which one has been paying the most attention.

My wife and I were watching a movie last night and just from the sound she said, "Someone is honing."

You have found an accepting woman my friend, I'm going to forward this post to my wife! My wife is cool about it too.

reading this thread is like reading chuck norris jokes. Did you know Chuck Norris hones his razors with his beard.

Does buying a 55lbs. anvil because you couldn't finds the small one at HB count?

I actually did that to do my first scale job... and regretted not buying a set of peen ball hammers.
