    Default Adjusting to the AC

Dave just loaned me his AC with a Pro blade (thanks Dave ) so I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow. I wanted to ask a couple of questions before diving into it...
    1) Other than going extra-easy on the pressure, is there anything I should specifically be paying attention to, like avoiding certain types of passes (like cross grain on the moustache).
    2) I have this small short mole close to the left ear that I always go over with the straight without ever causing any injury. Should I avoid it with the AC or just do as I've always done?

If you can manage it, try to keep the blade from touching your face, just run the blade as close to your skin as you can without actually touching it, and you should be fine.

The only thing that really gave me problems was going against the grain around my chin. No matter how much the beard had been reduced beforehand the blade would pull and try to dig in, so I had to be very alert to keep it under control. I could get away with it for a few days, but eventually the skin would just get too thin there and weep a bit if I touched it. But going with and across the grain was fine, though it didn't leave me with a very close shave :-(

Joe Lerch or Joe Chandler will probably chime in here as well, they're much bigger fans of the feather than I am, and obviously much more successful with it.

edit: The mole is not a problem, especially if you're not interested in keeping it.

    Default Go slow...

The only other thing I can think of, obviously, is to go slow. I tend to nick myself more with the Feather because I forget to slow down. As far as the mole, not sure. You might try to avoid it, unless someone else can confirm it's ok to shave over it.

FiReSTaRT I have a feather (Pro blades) and shave with it occasionally. This thing gives me incredibly close shaves, leaves my face shining like glass. The blades are extremely sharp and allow me to shave against the grain with no effort.

I have a couple of moles on my cheeks and have never had a problem, though I pay more attention to them when dragging the feather across, including a scar under my chin. I shave with it like I do a regular straight just use allot less pressure, like none.

The feather does shave well but has no soul, it is a sterile shaving implement which just doesn't call to me unless I am under the weather and am looking for a quick fix to shaving.
