This has been my staple shaver for about a year now. The Sheffield steel is of course a dream to hone taking a brilliant edge very easily, and the curved or 'smiling' edge and is very comfortable and both that feature and the spike tip are great to get in some of those tighter corners. The Aesthetic value of the ironwood scales were the first thing on my mind when I bought it (off eBay for $10 if I recall correctly) for Bill Ellis (did I say thanks Bill yet today? to restore, But it's often the last thing on my mind (of a very short list of important details) when I take it into the shave. I still can't believe what it looked like on eBay ... this:>
