Keith, thanks for the summary. I did use the search feature but methodshaving gives zero results.

Iwan, just my thoughts. I wanted to know as I am having a sensitive skin, easily get razor burn and redness in the neck area. I wonder why Methodwhaving.com does not combine all ingredients into one cream or soap. It just looks like they want to add some alchemism to it to woo potential customers.

For a good reason. People here are less likely to fall for a sense of mysticism created to peddle products without offering an alternative to good common sense.

I found the write ups on the method to be painfully difficult to read and understand. Wess and other deciples of the method would do well to point Charles to a good editor. As written, they come across as a marketing gimick to sell his products.

Mike, I totally agree. They(Method Shavers) overcomplicate the whole process which turns alot of people away from some good products. I have tried to read the articles but I would prefer to hang myself. I think for $9.95 for the cube and $15.00 for the paste it is worth giving it a shot if you are having some shaving problems that you just can't seem to solve. I still use of my other creams and soaps but the hydrolast products have given me my best results.

I did read the big PDF file and it is worse than ridiculous, as already pointed. However, I like what Wess says: under $30 for the cube and paste does not seem so bad for a try... And a resounding YES to the idea of these guys getting a decent editor... even though if the base is muddles even a good editor might not help...

Anyway, this post might actually get me to try the cube and paste just to see how good it is. Come to think of it, maybe they do small samples so it's even cheaper, or somebody from B&B or SMF might be willing to trade a small chunk / amount...

    Cheers
    Ivo

Try "method shaving" or "Robert's Method".

Or, you can look at http://straightrazorpalace.com/showthread.php?t=7756 and http://straightrazorpalace.com/showthread.php?t=5211

There's also a review written by Joe Lerch in the gallery section on PDF.
