Thread: First shave with a Sheffield Wedge left me disappointed...

In all my other razors!!!

Shaved with my first resto razor today a John Heiffer Wedge and it was fantastic. As well this was also my first shave with a wedge of any sort.

Sorry picture was before honing and pin tightening.

Glad you enjoy you wedge. I see you have a way to measure time for the all important "lathering" too.

Yes that is my great grandfathers pocket watch.

I've never really messed with it or tried to open it I just keep it in it's own little tin as a keepsake. I guess I'll have to look at it a bit closer. After finishing the razor I thought it would be a great addition to the photo.

The heck with the razor. Get that watch cleaned up and running.
